Self-introduction
Tell us about who you are. How would your family, friends, and/or members of your community describe you? If possible, please include something about yourself that you are most proud of and why.
I am a girl from senior high school. I am my class monitor, which is a good way to show my classmates and teachers how responsible I am. I set high standards for most things, from my studies to different things in my life.
People around me always describe me as a prudent person with fair organizational ability, since I am always the one who comes forward to be the leader of the team. At the same time, they also say that I have good social skills, although I do not see it myself. They explained that I handle relationships well and am willing to help people around me at any time.
My friends think I am an outgoing person too, as I quickly make friends with strangers and I often help them to explain something to others if they need me to. In fact, I am a little afraid of talking to new people, because I worry about making mistakes and finding myself in an awkward situation. However, I encouraged myself to overcome it and to become a braver person.
If I have to write about something that I am proud of, it must be my logical thinking skills and my talent for maths. My interest means that I have tackled many puzzles and difficult problems, which were similar to cases in detective novels. These skills also mean that I am naturally good with numbers, which is proved by the fact that I am always the first one in my class to solve problems related to science subjects.
Being a volunteer was one of the new things I tried in high school that I was proud of. The process from starting voluntary work to sticking with it was quite long and difficult. In addition to learning professional information to become an amateur commentator, communicating with strangers was also a hurdle for me. In the meantime, I also learned a lot about social occasions. For example, I learned how to perform my tasks well while taking care of the customer’s emotions, including handing out questionnaires and maintaining order. Learning this while serving also makes me feel that the activity is very worthwhile.
